| | Description:
KMobileTools is a nice KDE-based application that allows to control mobile phones with your PC.
It handles full SMS control, dialing calls, phonebook, and phone status monitoring. It's also integrated with the KDE environment, so it can be embedd in Kontact, or import/export from and to KAddressBook
It's based on a Motorola C350 mobile phone, but has also a good support on all AT compliant devices.
--------------
As summer is coming, the 0.5.0 final version is near too!
The (hopefully) last beta was just released, including one of the most wanted features: the Gammu Engine.
It's still a bit too difficult to configure, but it's fully working, ready to be tested.
More information and instructions on the gammu engine can be found in this page
The changelog is short, but this version also includes a lot of bugfixes, some of them user contributed, and full support to the new incoming kdebluetooth version, which will be an important release.
Listening to our users, we also added KNotify support for notifying the user about events.
And some news from the KDE 4 development: KMobileTools was just accepted and added to KDEPim, so it will be in the default KDE4 installation.
